New Doggy Day Care Spoils Pets While Owners Work
ORLANDO, Fla. -- Dog owners in downtown Orlando are faced with a problem; many new apartments and condominiums have no back yard for their pets.
Shana Cannon created the perfect solution; a luxurious day care for dogs.
The K-9 Lounge allows owners to go to work without worrying about coming home to trashed apartments and smelly surprises.
Cannon knew she had to set her doggy day care apart from competitors in Orlando. Her lounge has a webcam, filtered water and purified air.
The K-9 Lounge also gives dogs an opportunity to play in an open environment and socialize with other dogs, said Cannon.
"Society is so fast-paced at this point," Cannon said. "There are not enough hours in the day and typically one of the first things that gets shafted is your animals."
Many owners worry about leaving their pets in someone else's hands for an entire day. For this reason, Cannon set up a 24-hour web cam so owners could keep an eye on their pets while at work.
"Everyone's been very receptive. The owners are just thrilled with the web camera, and they find themselves on it all day," Cannon said.
